Is this VN gonna continue or is it dead?

(+1)

For running on Linux (Arch, at least), I found that I needed to do the following to run the "Game" file:

1) To make the file executable, in the folder where you extracted the vn, run:

$ chmod +x Game

2)  Install gconf. I was able to find it in the AUR.

3) It now complains about SUID Sandboxes. I think this is some sort of Chrome thing, and as I do not want to install that, I found this workaround script from Medium. Scroll down until you find the code, paste it into a new file, and run:

$ chmod +x [your-file-name].sh

$ sudo sh [your-fille-name].sh

and then reboot.

4) Running the following, the VN should now work:

$ ./Game

Reading some previous comments, Game might not be the right file. Game.desktop runs the nw file, and that requires libnode (I think), but it has been compiling since I started writing this, and I don't want to wait any longer lol

  I hope that worked for someone out there! If not, maybe try wine, or look into libnode? The game was performing poorly for me, so I unfortunately can't read it. Though I'm sure it's a very good novel!!!!!!

Spoilers for Rowley's route -

-

-

I'm caught up on Rowley's route and have a few issues. The character writing feels inconsistent at times—deeper into the story, characters start blending together, making the same jokes or using the same internet humor ("Blep," adding "ussy" to words). There are also moments where Welkin acts out of character.

While the writing can be a bit bumpy, my bigger struggle is Rowley's internalized homophobia. I appreciate that it’s included when most VNs ignore it, but the way it’s handled feels off. Arthur as a positive example of PDA is a good angle, but his overt passes in Day 5 feel excessive and unrealistic. almost comically overtuned. I liked that Welkin brought up Rowley's internalized homophobia, but it didn’t feel as apparent as it should have. Instead, it built up to calling him a "coward" and pressuring him out of his comfort zone, rather than critically discussing why it’s unfair to expect Welkin to commit to monogamy while Rowley won’t show any public affection.

I get that Rowley's route is leading to a choice about what this relationship means—friends with benefits or something more—but the harm his indecisiveness on both their relationship and his sexuality causes hasn’t been fully addressed.

I enjoy his route, but I wish both characters acted with a bit more maturity.

im sooooo in love with kegar, thank you for writing this amazing vn tyrving

How to run the game on Linux?

Okay there's a Linux port so firstly you can try that ; just extract the files and run the game as a program.

You can also use wine alongside an interface like bottles for windows based games.

There's also always the option to run it in the browser if your browser supports it.

I made the file nw executable and run it to run the game. Working now

Hmmm... gotta say Welkin turns to be very insensitive and has poor communication skills in Rowley's route. He planned to ask Rowley out and chickened out and never brought it up again and just immediately assumed they were boyfriends, even though he knew Rowley's situation needs delicate treatment? He was shameless about sexytimes but when it comes to actually talk about feelings he tucked his tail and ran...

And Welkin had the audacity to give Arthur a chance before he and Rowley resolved things out? Tsk tsk...

And... Angus is not exactly easy to deal with huh? He's hot but he can be a jerk often. My gosh the drama...
