Project Status

Hi everyone, it's been a while.

I'm writing this short entry to let you know that I'm still alive and well, and to give you an update on the status of the project, of course.

• A longer break

I haven't planned to take a break from the project this long, but truth be told, I was not in the right headspace to work on AY (mostly due to my full-time job getting more and more demanding lately). I felt like forcing myself to write, when I barely have time and energy for it, won’t be a good idea. At first, I planned to go back to writing in April, then in May, but obviously that didn’t happen. Despite not writing, I was still thinking about the project from time to time though, and in the end, I managed to make some alterations to an outline that I had in mind for the remaining updates. And honestly, I’m glad it happened, cause now the story will have a much better ending. And it's quite exciting too, because the story will finally feature dialogue choices which, you guessed it, will have an impact on said ending.

• The next update

At this point it's still impossible for me to accurately estimate when the next part will be ready. Right now, I’m still focused on some other matters, but I'm planning to go back to writing in September, and 1/3 of the next update is already done. Realistically, the next update should arrive in October. And yes, I'm still 100% focused on Rowley's route, as we are only 3-4 updates away from completing his story.

• About Patreon

I would also like to take this opportunity to finally address what happened to my Patreon.

To keep things simple, back in February my page got suspended, as I didn't provide my personal data (it's currently a requirement for creators of Adult-themed materials.) I had three options there - first was to provide this sensitive information (which I didn't want to), second was to leave Patreon, and third was to adjust my page to be "all ages-friendly". I decided to go with the last option, and so, after over a month of exchanging emails with Patreon staff, I learned that in order to do so, I actually need to COMPLETELY sever connection between Patreon and my project (getting rid of adult-themed images was not enough - the page couldn't be associated with the game. at all.)

Ultimately. while I actually managed to get my account unlocked by convincing Patreon staff that I will be hosting a completely new project, I quickly realized that this solution might only cause confusion for my fans, and so after a few days of hesitation I unlaunched my page and hasn't logged in ever since (some of the patrons might've actually noticed the new layout of the page when it was still online).

So to sum it up, for the time being, I won't be using Patreon (or any other patreon-like site for that matter).

It sucks to lose a direct contact with my most loyal fans, but if you guys ever need to reach me, please write here in the comments, or catch me on X (formerly twitter). With that said, I would like to once again thank from the bottom of my heart every one of my patrons and fans for supporting me on this long journey.
