New Release: Public Build 0.11.0

What's new?

- Story up to Day 3 - Rowley's route (part 3)

It's been a very difficult segment to pull off, especially because of my last minute decision to improve the script by making some major changes. I'm very happy with the results though - not only does everything now play out just like I wanted, but I also managed to push Rowley's story even further than I initially planned. There is, however, one thing that is still missing in this update, and it's the new CG - I promise to patch this one in the future update.

In other news, I just spent 2 freaking hours testing the Android build, because for some reason, it suddenly started behaving very strangely. Luckily, I found out what the problem was!

So, it turns out that uninstalling Chrome from the device can create a few minor issues with the game. Form my observations, I noticed that without having Chrome: 

• the default system font size is much smaller than it should be,
• there's an issue with the background sound channel being too loud (I remember someone mention to me about the chirping birds in the forest area being too loud),
• also, selecting 'Changelog' from the main menu, returns an additional empty (about:blank) page in the web-browser.

I don't know why the game behaves in such way, but it sure looks like that either the RPG Maker or the wrapper for the Android build heavily relies on Google's web-browser. I’m sorry for this inconvenience, but for the best experience on the mobiles, please make sure you have both installed and updated Chrome.

In the other other news...

...today is actually After Years one year anniversary here on itch.io! Yup, that's right folks - exactly one year ago I released the first build here over itch (it was v.0.4.0 as far as I remember). On this occasion, I would like to thank all readers who played the game, and supported me on this journey - making this project is a dream come true and I only hope that I will be able to continue doing, just as I do.
